Back to Blogging.....

After a "short" hiatus from blogging...(nearly a year...eeek)...I am finally feeling motivated to get back at it!

Honestly, I was reading through this ol' blog of mine with my husband a few weeks ago and we were talking about how cool it was that I had basically journal-ed all these things that had happened to us...some of the things we had even forgotten about. Anyway, it was pretty much at that point that I remember how much I loved blogging and decided that I was definitely going to start it up again. Then, it only took to another two weeks for me to actually get around to DOING it. But here I am. :)

To catch you up to speed, here are a few of the big things that I have been up to in the last year or so...

• I started a business, Posh House Originals, in September 2010 with one of my oldest, dearest friends Katie.  
• We signed up for and exhibited at not one, but TWO craft shows in TWO days...we were crazy and naive and will definitely NEVER, ever do that to ourselves again!
• My husband took a new job with a really incredible, well-known medical company and then traveled for practically three months straight while he went through training (we saw each other for about 36 hours each weekend, counting the time we were sleeping...so not really at all). It was crappy. I am not sure how military wives do it. I know I couldn't do it. My husband is my very best friend and I hated not getting to see him everyday.    
• We started building a pool in October. Which is funny, because I joked about it back here. It is finished now and I will definitely be sharing some before, during and after photos soon. (I was kind of hoping the grass would green up before I took my after photos, but I might not be able to wait that long to share! :)
• I turned a year older (and of course, wiser).
• And then lots of little things that I can't really recall right now. (Which is one of the main reasons I need to start blogging and writing all this stuff down again...the ol' memory is already getting fuzzy on me!)

Okay, so that should about bring you up to speed! I'm not making any promises on this whole blogging thing, but I hope that I can be pretty consistent with my posting to give me and my husband something to look back at in another year or so. :)
